Le Chéile Student Symposium

The first ever Le Chéile Student Symposium took place last month at Knock Shrine, Co Mayo. 10 of our TY students, accompanied by Mr Hoey, were in attendance along with 300 students from other Le Chéile schools from all over Ireland.

Students took part in various workshops on the day that explored questions of faith, the history of Knock, the Basilica, the ‘mosaic’ story, faith sharing and meditation. Students were encouraged to reflect on their own journey of faith and connect with the values promoted by Le Chéile schools.

Our students were also given the opportunity to volunteer in the summer holidays as a member of the Knock Youth Ministry team.

Well done to the students who represented St. Louis so well, they had a long day travelling but despite this, were keen and enthusiastic from start to finish!

It sounds like such a meaningful and enriching day for the students. Bringing together hundreds of students from different schools for reflection, workshops, and shared learning is such a powerful way to build connection and perspective. From my own experience, events like this leave a lasting impact beyond the classroom. At times when studies feel overwhelming, I’ve even looked into QQI assignment help, but opportunities like this remind me how important personal growth and community are too.
